i have had two different boost gauges and both have read that i peak at 17 psi. i am currently running no tune but i have an intake and saab sport exhaust. 17 seems realllllly good for stock tune, or is that just me....

I'm surprised it's that high

would a '99 viggen be similar or even more?
I though T7 was torque request, so it would request PSI to reach desired torque level, up to 20psi. I know on the viggen promotional video it said it would boost up to 20 or 21psi.

Um, I thought 1999 HOT's ran around 13psi stock? Unless it is T7 HOT 00-02 03vert.

What year is your car.

stock in my viggen (t7) i would boost around 12 most of the time. on my stage 3+ tune i might get 20 on a rare occasion.

I was pretty sure the non-hot 9-3 was 12.1 psi or so and hot was like 14.

B204L boost request is set at .75 BAR
B204R "HOT" is .99 BAR
Base boost is .40 BAR

B205L is .79 BAR for manual, .63 BAR for Auto
B205R is 1.00 BAR
Base boost is still .40 BAR

0.75 BAR = 10.8 PSI
0.99 BAR = 14.3 PSI

I was pretty close.

Sounds good then. Obviously promotional videos lie.

So even if his is T7 HOT, it still would be around 14.5 PSI.

i can 100% assure you there is no tune, its a 1999 SE HOT 93. i am looking into getting a jzw stage 3 soon but i have a picture to prove the 17 if there is doubt haha. and its T5 software on 99 SE HOT's.

Then you have a problem with the waste gate or BPC.

Or a bad boost gauge. Stock t5 overboost fuel cut is what? 16psi?

If your not hitting fuel cut, then either your gauge is wrong or its not a stock ecu.

it has to be my gauges. i would know if my ecu was not stock, i will look into the gauge set up and see what i can find then.
