Well, I'm more of a Volvo guy, but have always had an interest in Saabs. My dad needed a new car so I found him a '99 9-3 SE 5 spd with 140K miles, full maintenance records since new, and it's a pretty much 1 owner car. The only con being a power steering leak (still have yet to actually diagnose) and some rips in the driver's seat. After a little haggling I got the seller down to $1100. It could use a nice detail, but I think it'll clean up rather nicely. Even though this is more so my dad's car, we pretty much share our cars. So, I'm sure I'll get a decent amount of time behind the wheel. Also, with my desire to never leave a car untouched, I've already started planning some mods. haha I think stage 3 should be more then sufficient. So, I'm currently on the hunt for an intake, 3" dp, and tune. The car came with a Saab sport catback installed, so that's already been taken care of. I'll try to get some pics up within the next few days.

Welcome aboard. Kinda got a thing for Volvos myself. Most common P/S leak in a 9-3 is the pressure line running under the lower radiator support. If that's the case, hit up TSL user "wayfarer", he just pulled a perfect one out of a parts car.
Thanks for the welcoming.Yeah, I'll always have a soft spot for Volvos. I'll look into that line, thanks for the tip. It would be awesome if it was just that, I was thinking I had a bad steering rack.
The 9-3's steering racks are bullet proof, unless someone ran peanut butter through it ;) . I'm going to guess it's the pressurized line mentioned before.
Welcome
Welcome!
Thanks for the welcoming! Looks like you guys were right about the line.
Welcome! $1100 isn't a bad price at all. Like you said above, Volvos are cool too. I'd love to get a 2000ish c70 HT.

Enjoy the site!
Welcome to the link! If you are seeking a tune there are a few tuners amongst the boards here who have all been doing a great job for a bargin. I know DeLorean & PaulH of EPL Performance (and also your source for all car parts) will do a great tune for a Trionic 5 car (as I am running their tunes in two vehicles)
There is also JZW Performance tuning I have heard good things about.

Are you talking about EPL (European Performance Labs) in CT? If so, they're not too far from me and I have heard very good things about them. JZW has been recommended by a few members and seems to be the one I'll be going with.
