Buyer Be Aware

don't wanna put any shade on anyone's purchase or the sellers ad......

BUT.......

Before you put that Bonnet on your car (anyone) take note, the driver side vent is directly over the alternator...

On a rainy day this could possibly short out the electrical connection... and leave one stranded...

Just a thought and probably why the concept was discontinued..

I believe there should be a shroud/cover that goes along with the Bonnet to prevent this but doesn't seem to be included in the sale. maybe its attached underneath.. Seller should make this clear...

Seems better fit for a weekend driver in good climate; but I imagine it rains everywhere on earth!

just a lil practicality to add with the aesthetic perception one might be considering...

Cheers

It's not so much a problem with the vent leaking, but removing the blanking plate will let sunlight in and the UV rapidly disintegrates the plastic brake fluid reservoir. Or so I remember reading. The only thing under there is the brake master cylinder and heater hoses in that area, and they are already waterproof...

I like the look of them too, pretty hard to find. My '79 900 EMS has it too.
