It's supposed to be very good and super cheap, especially if you get it from Wallyworld....

 

yup quite good, i use it in my Merc, and the 99, very good quality oil, dirt cheap, and unlike most of the "designer" synth oils, if you find yourself a quart low almost every gas station has the stuff.

I run it in all my cars pretty much. the price can't be beat for the quality.

 

ok, im gunna go do that pronto, its supposed to have a lot of detergents in it too, which i would assume to be good for turbo engines

 

Fresh Rotella T Synthetic in my 900se

 

Are you just using the stock suggested weight oil w/ this stuff?

 

15w-40 Rotella T in my cars.

 

i have been using the 5w-40 synthetic rotella in my 9-5 for the past 6 months or so, and it is great. i have been using the 4 quarts in the big jug and half a quart of lucas oil stabilzer, and it is an awesome combo.

 

I have been doing the Amsoil 5w40 Euro Synthetic for a long time now. Per Andrews of Princeton's recommendations.

 

ya nick, thats the stuff i got too, i got 2 one gallon jugs, figured i would buy enough for a while when i was at wally-world

 

oooh amsoil is good stuff too. much higher costs come with it than the rotella though

 

much much much much much higher....

5 muches cause it's like 5X the price... one quart of the amsoil is $7.30 a pop at the B-boys. a gallon of Rotella is only a buck more...

 

a gallon of the synthetic rotella is like 16 though.

 

The case of Amsoil I've been working on ended up costing me around $5/quart. Not bad really.

I'll have to check out the Rotella for the ng though. No way I'm wasting expensive Amsoil in that thing.

 

I had been running amsoil, but I put sooo damn many miles on the car, and I really didn't feel comfortable doing more than 5000-6000 miles on an oil change, even then I was changing oil about every month and a half. I figured I could start using Rotella at about 1/4-1/5 the cost and change every 3000 and still be ahead cost wise.
