Ive got a 1999 9-3 base lowered with a koni kit. I just picked up a set of nice set of 17x7.5 35mm offset Ronal RT's for a $150 without tires. On my previous car that was not lowered i could fit 17x8 35mm offset wheels with 225/45 tires but they rubbed on the new car. I dont want to order new tires and then realize they dont fit. Anyone had experience with this? I was thinking 215/45 but its not much different than the 225 width. I hate to go down to a 215/40 because the roads around here suck and i dont want to bend the wheels. Any suggestions?

Also, is it possible to roll the fenders to gain some extra clearance? Thanks!

I have the Koni kit on the Viggen. My summer wheels with 35 offset (with 225) rubbed on the front wheel well liner at the top where this small rectangular section stick out. I cut it off and patched it.

^That's exactly where I had rubbing with my Borbet Type FS 17x8" rims with 205 width tires. Then again, the offset was pretty aggressive on those but they will fit the rear absolutely perfectly.
