The turbo XS RFL BOV is on the way!
As is the 3.5"x6" K&N airfilter W/2.5" mounting flange.

Depending on who you talk to, It's going to sound awesome, or like a rice rocket.
Either way, it's going to be LOUD and that's what I want.

Pics n' sounds upon install.

good to hear! im VERY anxious to see how the install goes as it will certainly be the basis for when i get my forge valve

i told you i'm working on the megasquirt, rome wasnt built in a day:lol:

well, I never had problems with any bovs on my LH 2.2 cars.... but damn, when it comes to LH 2.4, my 90 stalled out non stop with the forge valve... it fuckin sucked lol.

I've driven c900's (LH 2.2) with the RFL.... they drove fine... however I always noticed with any RFL, there was a substantial lag in between shifts...

Lag?

Like turbo lag?

Or engine lag?

I shift REAL slow, on account of the awesome super-burly 900 tranny anyway, so I may not even notice a bit of lag.
I find the RFL dumps out way to much air and and I think it takes longer to shut (in my opinion) and it seems to take longer to build up boost after shifting.... The HKS has treated me beautifully... I love the performance of this valve... Shift and it's boosting right where it was almost instantaneously... and dont have to worry about a leaking valve.

Well, the BOV is here along with my K&N.

The BOV is freaking HUGE.

It's about the size and weight of a can of beer.

The K&N is 3.5x6" and has a 2.5" opening with a 1" long mounting flange.

It's ready to go in the car..

I did this at work today...

One of my co-workers found it, and decided to tape a bike horn to it, for more noise.

Yes, I used epoxy. The same epoxy I used to glu climbing holds to a metal door frame at work. They have put up with my 210Lb ass just fine for the last year. I had to remove them for a compliance audit last year, and it took a 5lb sledge, and a chisel to get them off. So I'm not worried about leaks.

I will try and get this on the car in the next few days.

Awe sh1t!

That's fuggin' sweet :-D

If that fails I can get some of the braising rod that I have from work and we can give that a shot...but I bet the epoxy will hold up OK, at least for a while. I suppose if it fails due to some unforseen reacion with heat, or cold or something that it won't be too hard to clean it up and do it will the braising stuff.

It's in.

I went for a drive. Planes fell form the skies, children wept, and adults dove for cover.

It's real loud.

I used plumbing fittings and a hose clamp to plug the line off the T/B

This does not look so hot, but like all the uglies say, "it's what's on the inside that counts"

Inside. Where it is nice and smooth.

I painted the I/C tube to match the spark plug wire cover I also painted a while ago...

I have not lost one bit of driveability. Nor do I have ANY stalling issues.

My idle is a bit high, but it's been that way for a while now.

Maybe video later...

No vids tonight. Maybe in the next few days. I have to find a camera with a microphone.

I did hear it outside of the car, and WOW, it's so much louder than I thought it would be.

It's real loud.

Did I say that already?
