Maybe. I've been planning to drive the 9-5 to SOC, but depending on how fast this moves, I may change my mind.

Update -- Jessop has installed new front and rear crank shaft seals, and successfully swapped in the good inner driver, and the motor is ready to go back in the car. Estimate is Sunday or Monday night, depending on the schedule.

Fluids have been purchased -- Redline MTL for the tranny, and Castol Syntec 10w40 for the motor (although we're going to use some cheap Rotella T 15w40 for the first 100 or so miles post-resurrection).

Stainless steel brake lines have also been delivered. The fronts will go on ASAP, we'll get to the rear lines later.

Lots of fun parts have been ordered: the replica whaletail from Sasab.com, VDO gauges as well (oil pressure, voltmeter, and boost), clear corners and smoked side markers from genuinesaab.com.

I thought I needed to shake the can more, but I really did shake it for a minute like the directions said.

No tap water at the storage garage, though. I'll have to do these in the garage at home.

That's why I did a practice run on my extra, damaged front panel !!!

Yeah, we should talk about this, I want to get it as good as possible.

I used Duplicolor Semi-Gloss black trim enamel.


I found that slower, sweeping passes left better coats. Always trying to keep the can upright, and going side to side, not up and down.

I only put 1 coat on my panels.
