Yeah.... it's become comically easy to take the transmission out of my car.

I would have slaved on how much fun it was weeks ago, but there has been no interweb here. Ah well.... we've all done it before.

lol
I´ll have to do the same in mine....

My problems appears to be a gear stuck...
Oh well.... another Saturday around my car.....
It was more of a problem if i was repairing the gearbox...
But i have an replacement... It was a good idea not to sell it...
lool
i too have replaced my trans. twas not all that fun haha.
Sounds like fun!
I have a replacement in the garage, and am in the process of swapping over a few parts.

Do I need to remove the inner driver housing from the original gearbox and swap in onto the replacement like I do in my c900?
depends if the new box is an aero or not
Ok, just broke the oil pan while bolting in the gearbox. Fuck.

I posted a "Wanted Item" advert, but if you have one and read this first, shoot me a PM, please.
How did you do that? Put one of the bottom bolts in and then moved up top and it fell off the side of the block?

Best,
Drew
I had the gearbox 95% slid into position, put the bolts in and threaded them finger tight... As I went around tightening them the gearbox obviously wasn't seated in all the way, and the force of tightening the top sheared the bottom mount off the oil pan.

Trying to figure out why the tranny didn't slide all the way in...
At least your trans fits more than just 2 years of 9k.
Ive been in your same exact position before man "pats back"
I'm too tired and buzzed to take pictures.
Pics?

Not much to report here... was working on the oil pan I got today. Just cleaning it out, when a huge thunder storm rolled in and knocked out power. Since I'm right at the opening of the garage door when I work on the car I called it quits.

Hole in oil pan.

Replacement oil pan

Cleaned oil pick-up... was actually pretty clean to begin with.

Cleaner.

More together...

Ready for install.

Here's the repair welds on the new* oil pan. They look well done.

Uh oh, a big fucking storm rolled in. Not enough room to work under the car with the garage door closed. Oh well.

Wanna just say thanks to jssaab for helping me out with the oil pan. Cheap and fast to my door. (kinda how I like my women... heh)

My Live account ran out last month, and I'm too cheap to renew it right now. I have a PS3 at the house here to play CODMW2 online if I desire.
I've broken that exact tab off of one of those pans before. Mine was due to the fact that I didn't have the proper spacer with the metal flywheel cover

exactly what happened to me
