why do you need to remove the flywheel to take the engine out?
mines an autotragic .... thats what i did too .... easiest way is to drop the motor and trans as one unit under neath instead of using a engine lift and raising it through the tiny gap .... and seperate it on the floorMaybe it's and Automatic and he is trying to remove the Bolts that attach the Flexplate (automatic transmissions flywheel) to the torque converter.
So the motor is seized up that good huh? You can't get a good breaker bar on the crank shaft pulley and get it to rotate?
Yes you are right - autotranny flywheel - flexplate sorry!Maybe it's and Automatic and he is trying to remove the Bolts that attach the Flexplate (automatic transmissions flywheel) to the torque converter.

By taking it out the top I was trying to avoid the axle nuts and ball joints.mines an autotragic .... thats what i did too .... easiest way is to drop the motor and trans as one unit under neath instead of using a engine lift and raising it through the tiny gap .... and seperate it on the floor
