I want to paint my brake calipers. I was thinking of painting them red, but most people do that color. I was thinking something different and possibly painting them yellow. I not sure yet. Red is a safe bet, but yellow would definitely stand out more, but i'm not sure if it would look good on my car. I don't know...what do you guys think?

Can anyone photoshop my car with both colors on the calipers?

Here's my saab.... the exterior color of my car is metallic graphite green... not black!

Nice ride!

Red would tie into your tail light red.
Black would further add to the "stealth" factor.
I would add (a darker vs. lighter) blue brake calipers to consideration, since
that color is seldom used and it would compliment
your paint.

Please post before & after pix when the job is complete!

Clear those corners, btw!

I painted mine black, and they don't stick out.

I didn't want red or yellow since they'd look like hell in about 15 minutes after the brake dust gets on them. I'm thinking now I might respray then in gunmetal.

I would definitely say yellow. It wouldlook really exotic, and if you get the right shade it will look like the pccb brakes on the new porsches which is like an $8500 upgrade. The gallardos have yellow calipers too with the lamborghini script.

does anyone have a long lasting solution for caliper paint instead of powder coat (which you would need to completely removed the cailpers to have that done). i used dulpli-color's brake caliper kit on my 00' Impala that my parents have now and it's flaking bad. someone should give a better solution than dupli-color, if there is any.

I used the duplicolor kit over a year ago and it's showing no signs of coming off...

I did it while I was replacing my fuel pump the hard way. So I painted the calipers before I dropped the tank and they sat like that for a week while I was waiting for the parts for my fuel pump install.

I follow the proceudre exactly as described.

I used the dupli-color paint on my previous car which i completely beat the hell out of and the caliper paint NEVER faded or chipped even after 2 years of abuse. I currently have the calipers on my 9-3 painted gloss black and it keeps the car looking sleak and clean.

A.K.A. go black
