Round four! *ding ding ding*

That add looks very nice. Very well done.

A sincere good luck with the sale.

No reserve? Will it sell at $5.50? Going once... Twice.....

Seriously, tho. Looks good VL. Good luck with the sale.

looking good, but photoshop the SUV off the sunroof in pic # 2. brave man, no reserve:shock:

Yeah, picked up on that, especially the make of car "Sabb".
Let's help him bid it up. Oh, wait, been there, done that.

Hes already ruined his rep on ebay, any potential ebay buyer would notice that this viggen has been lsted 3+ times i would assume something fishy is going on, i guarantee it dosnt sell for much over 6k.

Rafal, it kind of bothers me to see the wheels being referred to as "great shape" There are multiple pictures showing quite a bit of curbage and scrapes. Be careful to not OVERSELL. It's a fine balance. But to me, those wheels are a glaring misstep to see them being called great. It hurts credibility.

If you followed his other topic, you would find out that buyer decided not to buy the car. On the first auction Luca asked guys here to give him some motivating bids, and Gobes thought that bidding it to $7500 would be fine and he obviously underestimated the end of the auction. He legally purchased the car, but as everybody understood, he was just trying to give a helping bid, not to win the auction.

I think eBay calls that a shill bid. At the very least, shenanigans. Wonder if they know?

Didn't follow his other topic because I haven't seen it and because it's not in this thread. Still, giving a "helping hand" is shady in my book. You roll the dice when you post an auction. If you don't like the outcome or want a specific outcome, don't be cheap and set some rules to the auction through the auctioneer choice list when you are posting the item. A one dollar reserve isn't hard to do. I understand everyone wants the most they can get for their "whatever" but it's a matter of ethics to me.

I believe there is no alternative explanation. That, or ViggenLuca has promised you money in return for your participation is his douchey scheme.

As fair warning, I will be the bidder winning this auction for $18,000 and skipping out on the bill- just to see it listed for a fifth time.

Regardless of whether or not you like this kid, you have to admit that is a MINT MCY Viggen. Lower miles, seats look great (wish mine looked that good), interior is clean, exterior looks to be extremely clean. Sure, the vehicle check report from Sport Muffler is kind of funny but to some buyer they may want something like that

In the end, its about the car and this is a really nice example of a very clean car.

Not worth it
Exactly same thoughts!

Thanks.

:D

Why don't you find something to do?:p

I have not listed an item of similar value on Ebay, not that it matters. Just because you say cheating happens regularly doesn't make it any less of a problem. I am, however, concerned that he is listing it for the 4th time. Stuff like this, when it concerns thousands of dollars, just don't sit well with me... guess that's why I'm going into law. :D

Yes, the car is beautiful. I am interested in buying it. I told ViggenLuca in the other thread that I bid on it. So, best of luck with the sale. Carry on.
Well then your voice would matter if you actually understood that there are many people who would bid not knowing the consequences. Hell, when I was back in Poland I always dreamed about a '70 280 SE Coupé and actually won one auction on American eBay when I was 13-14 years old. You think the owner of that car didn't relist his car on ebay? No, I saw it on again couple days later.

In Luca's case, it's obvious: first time Gobes failed by bidding way too high. Who is to blamed - Gobes. Second time, auction did not reach the reserve price. Who is to be blamed - nobody. Third time somebody won the auction but couldn't afford it. Who is to be blamed - the guy who couldn't afford it. I get your point what people pull on auctions; they have dual accounts and bid the other one to prevent from selling it too low. I don't want to doubt Luca's selling skills, but there's no way he could pull that off.

Now, you sounded like a 60 year old prick who wanted to buy my MCY Viggen Vert last year. Even though I told him what my minimum was, that I could go for on craigslist, he further told me he would bid for fun on my auction, without a will to buy the car. What did I do? I kept his bids on so the auction looked better because I knew(hoped) he would be overbid.

If you were serious about buying that car, you would contact Luca over PM/E-Mail. Otherwise set on mute, please.

Jesus christ. Again, the only reason I bid on the first auction was to help Luca out. I figured it would be a safe bet that someone would outbid me, but that didn't happen. Since people on this forum don't understand that I was trying to be a nice person, I'm never going to go out of my way to help anyone's auction ever again.

Don't get angry. Good intentions - approved. Execution - disapproved. Doesn't change a fact your bid was way too high for a fair helping bid. I was highly surprised to find out you were the one winning the auction. Well, lesson for the future.

You can always help people with their auctions. Just be conscious about what it's worth. If Jameson asks me to bid on his model car that is worth $100, I'm not going to bid anything over $40, unless he insists. Did Luca ask you to bid that specific amount? No.

Lol sorry I didn't go by your end all list of rules when it comes to car auctions. No, Luca didn't ask me to bid that specific amount, but I figured I'd help him out so I bid what I felt like bidding and thats that. It isn't my fault no one else wanted to bid higher. I figured someone would atleast bid up to $9K and it didn't happen. No big deal, relist it until your happy with whatever price you were looking to get.

Gobes did the right thing, but could have made a roundtable discussion about the reserve price and made sure to bid just lower than that, though bidding through the reserve can be very smart as it will sometimes entice the bidding activity more. This said, everyone would be suspended from Ebay for shill bidding.

I do hope the seller ends up finding a good home for the car. I've spoken with him and he sounds like a good person. I think good people often get S#it in life while people just out to make money without giving a flying f somehow make more money...like these dealers. They take a car in trade in, but they know nothing about the car other than a piece of historical paper. They win big time because they can find the low mile cars and then make a killing due to the miles alone.
