So its either my ecu or bpc that is bad, with fuse number 5 pulled it finally stays at 6-7 psi through the rpm range. With the fuse in boost cut and inconsistent boost. Tried a mbc but it spikes and I don't trust it. Sooooooooo would adjusting the wastegate rod to run closer to stock boost be a dumb thing to do, I just don't have the funds right now to buy a bpc or mess with the mosfets in the ecu, just bought I house. Am I asking for trouble?

I wouldnt mess with the base boost if its where it needs to be. Safe thing to do is just run base boost or mbc. On your mbc does it have a bleed off port?
It's an old school turboxs, with it hooked up the cat spikes and then hold at what it is set to, 13-14 psi
i drilled a hole on the controller, have not tried it yet, might just spend a few bucks and built that same one. if i am getting the same results with the bpc and boost controller. sticking wastegate actuator maybe?
