Pre- v. Post-SOC07
Pre: 105 e-mails/day *after* I clean out a bunch of the redundant, early thread stuff during the day, a couple new thousand since early July
Post: 22/day (on both Monday & Tuesday)
Pre: work thru lunch
Post: take my co-op and a few others out to lunch
Pre: struggled to get all my car projects juggled
Post: actually have both the 9000 Aero (trans) and the Jeep (whole drivetrain and more) @ the house for first time since late March. Seriously. Either was at Hugo's Garage (an answer on the road rally) for the past 6 months. They love me there now...Phil's taking a vacation on me. But Karen Anne still sits in my driveway w/ no rear caliper pressure.
Pre: Stress that everything was falling apart at the last minute (you will never know how close it came)
Post: Relax that it was all worth it, from the CAS tour (finally!) to the Heritage Center to the Sun PM ride w/ the cool chick in the Ride'n'Drive 'vert. Note to Chris Luick: I hear we're barking up the same tree ;-)
Pre: Lose sleep 'cause there's too much to do
Post: Lose sleep 'cause you're used to staying up until the wee hours and still getting up at 5am. Fiddle stix...
My only regret of the whole weekend is that I didn't get the time to get the Jeep GW on the dyno, yes, at a SAAB convention, to show how ridiculously loud and hilariously low HP it is/has. Was done on Friday (F'ing *Finally*) but couldn't shake loose to get it.
