powder coating

so i have a chance to get some powder coating for real cheap.. i dont know how many layers or if they do ceramic or anything else just a friend said cheap ass coating if i want anything done..
so question is... what should i consider getting coated?

what why? what am i PCing? rods...
i dont get it..

i dont want anything crazy like the Block!!... calipers was a good idea.. wheels nah maybe when i get some 18s... valve cover its already painted...

I think he's talking about the caliper pistons.

Calipers have pistons inside them that push brake fluid

If you look at the caliper you will see rubber seals that prevent brake fluid from leaking. Sometimes the heat from the powder coating can damage these rubber seals. Carefully (take your time to not damage seals) pry out the rubber seals and remove the piston inside the caliper. PC the calipers and re-assemble.

Hey, I imagine you want to keep your specific discount on the DL, but what would he normally charge for powdercoating the valve cover black? Maybe you could ask when you go in for your work? Thanks.
