This is what I posted earlier, but I don't know if people saw it or not because the site was having problems when I posed it, let me know what you think.

Hey I know a lot of people are looking for different Performance Induction Kits. Most of the ones that are made for Saab I don't like too much. When I was planning on buying a S40 Volvo (got a Saab 900 SE 1998 instead), I came across a site that has some really nice kits for the Saab also. Check out the sites; let me know what you think. I think this is the route that I'm going to go for.

http://www.performanceairfilters.com/main.html - This is the main site for the product.

http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pipercrossfilters/pages/PXsbv_pl.asp?Vehicle=SB90001&PartType=AFP03 - This is the site to buy the application for the Saab 900 SE 98 and on. I don't see why it can't go on other Saabs though. As far as I know the US site for selling this product is down.

http://www.ffoc.co.uk/projectcars/reviews/viper.htm - I know this installation is for a ford focus, but the same concept. The best part is that you can bend the tube were you want it; this guy put it right in the air scoop on the bumper. The water issue is still there if it's put at that location.

I'm totally down with the concept of ram-air induction, and I'm trying to do something similar with a bell-shaped speaker port tube....BUT $315, not including shipping, is a LOT of money for something that uses a proprietary filter (big dough-re-mi to replace) that hasn't really been proven to last. Free-flow filters are fine for race cars that get a full engine teardown every few hundred miles, but I'm expecting to keep my car for several hundred thousand miles......

That said, if it has the HP increase it claims, it might make a sweet upgrade!!!! I think Eric was planning something like this at some point but decided not to.
