does that hypersports BPV make any more "woosh" then a stock BPV? I wanna get an upgraded one which makes a little more of a woosh (more or less while I rev up at idle) And i know the Forge ones are RFL (Really Fucking Loud) Just curious as to yours.

 Loving the black meshed grille (I am a big fan of those as most everyone knows), and the rear strut bar. Where did you purchase that Rear STB (before the CF)?
Was from my Tiburon. I had to make custom rear brackets though, by cutting off most of the original bracket, and re-welding new steel to it.

Combined with the short ram it nicely "noticable now" Not some Crazy BOV action, just a nice psssst, between gears.

Personally I'm liking that 308/328 Ferrari across the street!!

Couple things to consider here:

1. I love bling. Who doesn't? Intakes before the turbo and intake piping on a stock Viggen may give the seat of your pants dyno a different feeling, but they don't make power.

Nothing wrong with bling though. ~bling blang bwaaaang~

2. Rear strut bar won't make much difference to handling until a Viggen Rescue Kit, suspension, and rear anti-sway bar are fitted. Even a new rear axle would have a better chance of improving hanging.

But it is some pretty damn nice bling. 8)

BTW:

There are two "kinds" of carbon fiber (actually lots and lots, but two very different varieties) ...

... one is made with carbon weave and Polyester Reisin. This is basically just the "decorative" carbon fiber. Used in dashes, very glossy, not very strong.

... the other is made with Apoxy Reisin and it is MUCH stronger and should be used for things like strut bars, bodywork, and anything else that requires load or pressure.

That's more just informational, but some people don't even know that there is a difference! So when you go out to buy Carbon Fiber (the good stuff is usually known as a "Carbon Composite") keep that in mind!

I agree, more or less useless on a stock viggen.....but she won;t stay stock for long will she....tee hee....
She should be a stage 4 car shortly, in which case the extra CFM capabilty of the piping will certainly help!

I also agree...Good thing for me I have a VRK and rear sway installed already! I am holding off on springs and struts, untill they need to be replaced. I have a new set of toyo T1-S's comming. I can attest to the fact that the handling is night and day differance at this point with the mods on the car. I wanted a rear STB to help limit the hatch flex.....well that and the bling blaaang!

hehe My new wheels are bling. i highly reccomend the bling for those wheels. :D Ronal LV series 5 lug, in case you're curious. ;) Not very expensive either! (Though don't tell anyone that, or it takes away from the ~BLING~ factor.)

Also ...

A stage 4 with a bigger turbo will breath much better with the shorty intake ... BUT!

The actual "volume" of air the engine takes in once pressurized does not change significantly unless you significantly alter the exhaust, camshafts, cyllinder head, or valves. A 3" turbo back will alter it slightly, but not much.

Just remember this as a general rule: On the intake side of a 300 hp turbo car, before the turbo it breathes like a 300 hp beast, but after the turbo it only breathes like the 4 cyllinder it really is.

Also, things like intakes only really alter the "pressure ratio" of the intake side. This has only a minimal affect on power because you will still run the same boost even with a restrictive intake. When the intake is restrictive the turbo just has to work a little harder. The car will still take in the same air, and get almost the same power.

So the carbon fiber intake duct will be 99% ~BLING BLANG~ until you have done a bunch of other stuff. And the shorty will be 50% ~bling~ until you get that stage 4 ... then it is only 20% bling. (The stocker would still make nearly the same power, just a little less.)

As said before, nothing wrong with bling, I'm just making sure no one is expecting extra horsepower. It might be worth 1 or 2 maaaaybe ... maybe better spool up. But honestly, it would be very very little.

The bling on the other hand is unmistakable. I'm not into carbon fiber type bling, but I do think it looks pretty cool. Honestly I'm more of a form after function kinda guy ... but I make compromises from time to time.

btw ... bling is only rice if it makes the car SLOWER imho ... so no worries about that yet.
