the thread in question was 2 or 3 years ago. somebody made an "lol look at me" post and posted the red light camera pics, and proceeded to get reamed out for the next 150 posts.

 

So except for the cost these tickets will not make me lose my driving privileges? Hmm..

No joke. Blix was in my car when the flashes went and all I could think was "Fucking D.C." Somehow, I completely made it through unscathed from the D.C. tax this time.

Nice, but yeah I guess that is the only one I usually drive through. I hardly drive in the district. If I am in there not for work, its about 90% of the time for drinking so we metro/taxi.

 

Yeah, the Connecticut Ave. ones are not stationary (well not all), so they move up and down one section of the road inside East-West Highway. I don't think they get many people b/c there is 3 lays of traffic so if someone speeds it'll catch every car in the picture (not just the speeder) and they cannot tell who was speeding. I think they just raised the speed the trigger at as well.

Still running a red light to stay with a convoy is a big no no...no matter what...convoys don't mean you can ignore traffic signals...

I was with our canyon drive (west coast now) group and got stopped by a light right off the highway, there were only me and one other car behind left to go through. I didn't mind stopping...even though I knew a couple of other cars could sneak into our convoy.

 

Yeah, that's what I kind of figured. I lived in a bad neighborhood, so taking Metro after a certain time at night wasn't a possibility.

 

Where on 695? I'm on it usually between I70 and either I83 (Hunt Valley) or I-95/Rt 1 north (White Marsh).

I was going clockwise from 70 to 95. Nver usyally go that way because of traffic but it was later.

I got the flash driving a work van, getting onto 395 from the capitol area. Nobody mentioned anything coming in the mail about it.

But I had my picture taken twice by the German speed cameras. I was in my Saab on the Euro Delivery plates, so they're unenforceable.

there is a guy in the Scoobie club out here that has two convex mirrors on the back of his rear view mirror. He swears that the flash blinds the camera off the mirrors so they can't identify the driver (which you need to do in CO).

I have wondered why people who live near these cameras don't do something to disable them?

 

down in MD they hit em with paint guns, and they spoof them by making a fake plate and drivign by.

I am not so sure those covers work ( at least teh spray may not, saw that Mythbusters tried it out but never saw the episode, anyone have any info on that?
