So I attempted to change out my outer tie rods today but ran into a problem. The tie rod seems to be frozen on the inner; I soaked it in pb and no matter how tightly I clamped the inner with a vice grip it still just spun. Im trying to get access to some oxy acetylene but no dice so far. Would propane be hot enough? Short of heat I feel Im going to shell out for new inners and cut the old ones off unless someone has some pointers for me.

I don't see why propane wouldn't work....its worth a try.

Its always worked for me with O2 sensors and such. Just keep it on there for awhile.

Don't know what you've got for tools on hand, but if you cut a "relief" in the outer end
(from outer towards the lock nut) it'll probably spin off and you can save your inner
by relief do you mean cutting into it and essentially opening it up?...I like that idea
