Wondering where you are in CT or VA?

 

Well....I drove up to CT to get it, and will be stripping it over the next 2 days, then driving down to VA, Tweek if you need something perhaps on my way down we can meet up?

 

What are the specs on the car, leather? Color? anyone got dibbs on the tranny?

 

yeah, if its got leather, i might have a buddy who could be interested in the seats. cloth is not his style.

 

do you have those triangular pieces in the corner of the inside door panel, where the mirror contols are?

 

ill check on the triangular pieces in the morning. Coop, Tranny works fine. I think the clutch cable snapped in it because you can hear it shifting into the gears fine, but theres no tension on the clutch pedal, something else i'll check on in the morning.

edit: Its cloth interior, so sorry no go on the seats. Cars black. All the body pieces are good, except the front bumper which got fucked up when I towed it to my house

 

just use the car as a beater.

 

I've been tossing that idea around. Just redo the cable and have a working car, but I may have some plans for the motor, since it's the 2.3 N/A.....All I'll need are some new pistons and throw my turbo on it with software, and then I've got myself a bigger motor for cheap

 

not sure if its worth the effort or not, but I'd be interested in some dash lights, like the one in the window switchpack, some from behind the SID, and I think I've got one burnt out behind my headlight switch.

and my driver's headlight lens has a crack in it.

and I've been meaning to get another grill so I can paint it.

and about a thousand other things.

I think I'd just be happy with the switchpack bulb, worst case, though.

If it is a 97 or 98 car I will buy the front hubs and suspension uprights, (spindles) off of it.

 

its a 94... :-/. Im going to go to house on in..... the dash bulbs are a possibility since I want the dash itself.

 

bonerif, I could pull the whole sid for you, bulbs for it are easy to get to. Headlight lense no problem. Just let me know, make a list and PM me, that way it gives me a list of things to get done first :-D

Sounds like the clutch cable went. Spend $50 on a new cable, it takes less than 2hrs to replace if you're fast. And you'll have a fully working car.

Otherwise, what are the condition of the fog lights?

 

Fog lights look goood, I'll go take 'em off now and let you know.

 

Are the door panels and shit inside the car black too? If its a 5 door and its got black door panels, Id take the passengers side rear door panel too!

 

nah tan panels. Alright the fog lights look ok, there are no cracks, but there is some small pebble damage it looks like....from getting pelted with sand and whatnot since the cars existence.

 

Is the exhaust in good shape?

 

The headers were rusty, I wouldn't sell them to you kinda rusty, but the rest of the exhaust was alright.

 

So is this gonna be a parts car or are you still debating fixing it up as a beater?

 

I keep going back and forth with it....But its already started to be parted and I've sold off/used for my car a few things already. Kinda a shame, made me sad to start ripping into her, she was in pretty good shape. plus I know the motor and tranny can be used/sold for a good purpose :-D

 

What do you want for the exhaust? I could also use the hatch shocks, and maybe some other bits.
