So we picked up this house for next year, we sign the lease next week but we have a security deposite down on it now.

Rents for 3500 a week during the summer (for 6-8 people) and we have it from August 30th to May 30th for 3k a month + utilities.

Note the dual refridgerators - one for beer, one for beer and food. The third, which we are constructing now, will sit near the pool table, it will house the keg(s).

The house was built in 1906 and is known as the Carriage house, a pretty historical place. Its got a huge deck, grill, shed as well as two balcony rooms (one is mine), an indoor hot tub, 3 wood stoves, a pool table, a big screen TV (2 when I put mine in there), 7 bedroms, 4 baths, 2 with jacuzis and sleeping accomidations for up to 22 people (including futons, and pull out couches).

Ill be living there with 6 of my good buddies...needless to say next semester/year is going to be a haze.

Im stoked, only downside is no garage :)()

Castine is a great place, my grandparents used to have a house up there that we would go up to every year. Do you go to school at the maritime academy up there?

I hope all of your buddies are signing because if they bail, you're stuck with the bill. Also that's going to be pain to heat, so i'd get some wood this summer and make sure the landlord has the chimneys clean enough to run

Yea we allready are on top of the wood situation, between the 6 of us we have 4 trucks so were going to stick primarily to wood heat as much as possible - and yes all 6 tennants sign the lease agreement so I wont get left with the rent. If anything does happen, this is probably one of the easiest schools to find new roomates at because of the size of the school vs the size of the town and available rent.
