GTO barely passed its annual Virginia state safety inspection due to brakes. So, I upgraded.

DBA of Australia crossdrilled and slotted rotors, Hawk ceramic pads:

Edit: Just realized the thread title should read DBA ROTORs and ceramic PADS....

Now this is some non-saab content that I enjoy. Thanks for the proper grammar and non-shitbox car.
My pleasure.
Awesome, wish they made reasonable models for Saabs (DBA).

At the SOC '07 track day in Detroit my instructor worked for DBA and they had imported a Holden Sport Ute over equipped with fancy pants brakes. He took me out for a session and it stops on a dime.
did you mean new rotors and ceramic pads in the thread title? cause those arent carbon ceramic rotors in your pics...
Yeah, read my edit at the bottom of my original post. Caught it after I'd already posted.
NICE!

Now you need to make the calipers the same gold/bronze color :p
Heh, yeah, the color was a bit of a surprise when UPS delivered them. Ah, well, I'm interested in the performance anyway.

Need to take the time this weekend to properly bed these pads. Never have had ceramic pads before. Very different feel right now, but then they're completely "virgin" right now.

Are they "noisy" my drilled and semi metallics are and I want to get rid of that noise it drive me crazy... willing to get new pads if they are QUIET
Not so far. But then I work from home, so I drive any of the cars rarely anymore.

Drove the Goat today into the office to fix work PC issues (f'ing HD crapped the pooper) and these brakes did just fine. All quiet on the GTO front....

how did you bed them in? that can make a difference with how loud they are

My EBC Redstuff pads and EBC rotors sound like a jet winding down, I really don't like it but you cannot argue with performance.

Very nice Jim, that color combination looks killer between the gold, red, and PBM paint!

problem there is the ebc rotors. they're fucking awful for noise. get rid of those things, put on some brembo blanks, and your brakes will be silent. ebc redstuff on my 900 = no noise at all. ebc yellowstuff on my friends r32 = slight noise when pads are cold, quiet once they warm up.
