So my m3 has hit 200k miles..
and ive decided to buy another bmw and have that be my daily beater.

a 1987 325i 150k miles 230k on chassis
koni shocks/tein springs
gutted.

All it needs is a trunk and interior pieces.

Im going to pick it up for hopefully 400 bucks.

Wait, so you got rid of your s2000 because it was impractical and uncomfortable yet you are buying a stripped, trunkless coilovered 23 year old BMW? haha, that will be interesting. You could have run into big issues if the title transfer hits any snags as you can never know what really happened to the title regardless of what the guy says. If you plan on throwing in a semi-decent interior and want to get the body at least respectful, you are looking at spending more than the asking price assuming you get it for $400.

I will say that I have driven a 1988 325 and that was an extremely fun car as it is such a simple car with less to seperate you from all the steering, chassis, and engine. It looks to be more of a track rat though and not really what I would say could qualify as a DD beater.

i had a 1987 325i soft top for about a week. I was using it because my jetta i had at the time shit the bed, all i can say is not a bad little car. My father still has that car with only 168k on it, but the car needs a new roof .

Is there a reason why you are dumping more funds into another car? Especially since the mentioned car would be completely crap for a daily beater. If you want a daily beater get a c900...at least then it makes sense that you are posting on a SAAB forum...

So, wait.

You're going to buy someones gutted, dropped, straight-piped, beaten, no title track rat 23 year old BMW to use as a daily driver because it's somehow going to be more practical or reliable than your high-mileage M3? And you plan to buy it for under 1/3 of their asking price?

Its actually "butted" according to the CL ad..... i can't believe that guy wants anything more than scrap value for that piece of shit. I'm sorry but damn, buy a nice factory one Luca, they made some really nice ones.

Have you considered getting a high millage E36 M3 and using that as a daily?

On a serious note don't buy a fucking car without a title unless you live in a state where that is not an issue. Make the asshole, and I'm assuming he's an asshole because of what he has done to that car, seller go to the DMV and get a replacement title.

P.S. Don't buy that car.

I dont know i havent gone home.
It has a full interior, radio works, a/c works, windows roll down, sunroof works.

It needs a steering rack, and shocks. thats about it.
I bought a battery for it too, because the old battery sat for 2yrs.
