new brake pad options

I'm changing my brakes soon and I'm looking at the Hawk HPS pads and the EBC greenstuff pads. Does anyone have any opinions on either? The car is my daily driver and I would like more stopping power than stock but nothing stupid noisy.

Thanks in advance!

Go with the Hawk out of those 2.

I also like my EBC yellows, but they can be noisy (sometimes they aren't - no idea) and they are definitely dusty but holy shit they stop great.

I had the Akebono Euro Ceramics (low noise and dust free claims) - they were a good street pad, but I didn't like them because they sucked on the track. They were literally dust free though, I had to clean my wheels less times than I washed my car.
hawk fo sho.
I am a big fan of the Redstuff pads. Don't bother with the Greens.

No one has said bad things about the Red/Yellow, I just don't have any personal experience with the Yellows. I loved the Reds though.

My had has Hawks on his 9-5 and know his stuff about cars and he has not said anything negative about them.
I've got the reds on my car with the Viggen brake setup. They stop great but are dusty as hell. I am embarrassed at how dirty my wheels are right now.

Really? I didn't have an issue with the Reds on my '96. Had the slotted Brembos that Nick sells too.

ugh. i hate both of those pads (having had both in my 900) tbh. hawk hp+ or ebc red stuff would both serve you much better than hps/green stuff.

i have redstuff on one of my cars, and hp+ on the other right now. i like them both.

and i agree with champ on the akebono pads. great street pad, and ok for limited aggressive driving, but not a pad to take to the track. 0 dust

I might be over critical. And I guess it's partially my fault for not cleaning my wheels in 2000 miles. Granted 1100 of those miles were the trip to Ohio and back.
hey cool guys thanks for the imput. I may just spring for the redstuff pads then as I can't really find the Hawk HP+ anywhere and the reds aren't too much more than greens. I feel the yellows may be a big more than I'm looking for in a pad.

but thanks again everyone.
