Hey Ive had 2 9-5's in the past but beacuse of some setbacks I have been without a saab for a few years. A coworker is selling a very well maintained 1995 900 se turbo 2 door for a great price. 140,000 miles in great mechanical order. black with ivory leather. what can i expect from this car? Ive never driven a Saab manual. Also how is the sound system? He said it is good but 2 back speakers are distorted. Where could I buy these? I am so excited to be driving a Saab again. I am getting in next friday. Any other info would be great. Coming from a 9-5 to a 900 I do wonder how the differ. Thanks!

9-5 chassis is far superior, but the hatchback is great to have.

Expect to need a direct ignition cassette at some point (many carry a spare), SID screen is probably missing pixels (search this site for BBA Reman for info on who to send it to for rebuild), crank position sensor, MAP sensor, maybe fuel pump, clutch cable, etc.

whats been done

So far he has replaced the brakes, tires, fuel pump, water pump, clutch cable, some belts(s) sid has been replaced, updated gearbox, radiator, etc..He kept going on and on. He is very anal about his cars so everyone tells me it will be perfect. He always fixed anything that was wrong. I still worry though!

1995 SE Turbo Coupe... hmm best year for NG in my opinion.

This will be a great car for you, and you can make this car a lot nicer with very little money via a tune and suspension upgrades.

Cool. i am sure it will be much better than the Cavalier I am driving now...I just really can't believe Im going to be in a Saab again. The sounds, the smells, the buttons, the turbo gauge...I probably would like to do minor upgrades. It already has a OG9-3 grill on it. I didnt look close and thought it was a 9-3 the first time I saw it (then I saw the back) It has the ivory interior, I prefer black but I cant complain. I need to order 2 rear speakers the seller says they are distorted. Where can I find these? Thanks for all the info guys, I am getting really excited. Wish I didnt have to wait a whole week!

So if i find one that fits it will work? I was under the impression that i had to have ones that work with the system? I dont know what I would get. I dont have a lot of money but I love good sound. I really loved the Harman Kardon in my 99 9-5 se and 03 9-5 arc. So that is what I would like to recreate as much as possible. Any suggestions?

Ok here is the car with pics! It drives like a dream, and I just replaced the rear stock blown out speakers with some Infinity ones and it sounds much better. I ordered some Kickers 3.5" for the dash hopefully that helps too. Here are the pics I think its nice...It has some trouble spots in the paint her and there but...maybe a lil elbow grease.

another problem is the left licesne plate light us rusted in there. And the 2 front seats are in bad condition. Hopefully I can find a couple seats somewhere. Does anyone know where I can fine a 96-98 reflector panel for the back? Thanks for viewing!! Happy Saabing!

Looking good! You even have some speedParts mats that can't be found anymore.
