Met VJZ http://saablink.net/forum/showthread.php?t=50447 in Illinois on Monday, just west of Chicago and transferred the tranny from his trunk to mine. One of these days I'll get around to doing the swap. In the meantime, I bought a 2000 9-5 Aero off the local craigslist. Too bad it's an automatic. And a sedan. It's a whole new world after driving only 9000s for 7 years.
Need 94-98 9000 Manual tranny
Preferrably FM571xx (taller gearing). The pinion bearing on my 94 9kCSET is whining. Probably got low on oil (I haven't checked), might be because I'm running stage3 t5suite. No one seems to want to rebuild it for a reasonable amount of money (lowest estimate has been $1500 just for labor and that's with me bringing them the tranny already out of the car).
