Ok, after I finished Lendo's bumper:

I decided I wanted to attempt something a bit more extreme. JK and I started working on custom fabbed twin dump exhaust systems. The system turned out pretty well and I was happy with the sound:

However, JK still wasn't that pleased with doing just another exhaust which provided 27lb ft at the wheels. Actually, the dyno didn't read any higher than it had before, but I called him and told him and he said to just add 27 to the number the dyno told me. And since he made it for me, I knew I could trust him and that there was, in no way, a conflict of interest.

We both got bored with making awesome exhuasts and decided to do something cooler. One day, after re-roofing a house (in two hours), Palmer showed up and we talked about how sweet his C900 was. I said I wish they had sold a three door SS.

We both looked at each other and laughed. Not because the idea of converting an SS to a three door was funny, but because Palmer said, "Do want." Like Charlie the cat. Charlie is a great cat, FYI. And he loves, steak.

Well we started that afternoon fabbing up the doors. We knocked the whole job out in about four hours, including prep and paint. It even included a hour long break so we could begin brewing beer.

BUT, then we read Kaylan was doing a 9000 3door and we didn't want to steal her thunder, or excellent idea. So we promised to wait until she was done to post pictures.

I took it Autox:

I am very happy with it. I think it pulls over a G on the skid pad now. Also, you can see we made custom rear windows out of Lexan, BUT we retained the motors and I can still put the back windows down.

One more picture with our old Boxster (turned in on lease)

Thoughts:

I LOVE it! I really love the length of a sedan with the impracticality of a three door. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to waste lots of money.

Our next project is building a side car for Aero's motorcycle. We expect to also mount a spud gun turret that we can launch at aggressive drivers. In actuality we are just doing it to get bonus points with the SOC crowd who launches potatoes towards the highway. Because once you are in a group/mob mentality no need for legality matters.

Let me know what you guys think!

MAD TIGHT PROPS TO:

Lendo, for letting me practice my techniques on his Viggen bumper
JK, for allowing me to utilize some of the tools at Jessop Creations, INC
Palmer, for the sweet paint talent he laid down
Aero, for trusting us to build a side car/turret for his bike
Amish, for bringing the flashlight the night power went out in the garage

AND FOR THE WHOLE MN CREW, who kept this quiet and didn't post pictures.

Palmer showed the spud gun turret to me last night. I have never seen anything so sweet.

And, actually, I think you should add 32hp to your dyno numbers. I ran some numbers and the correction factor needs to be a little higher to reflect the actual quality of my work.

if you welded the front seats in place you would probably get +10 practicality and a good %50 increase in body stiffness and improved handling. im in the middle of doing this to mine as we speak.

Also remove one windshield wiper and relocate your other to the middle for a reduction in weight and increased arrow dynamics remember mirrors are optional as well.

Yes, I used all the skills I learned on this project to re-paint my railings on the front of my house today.

Also, this was good practice for my "no door" C900.

Think sunroof, and step ladder.

I figure at least a 300% increase in body rigidity and 30hp to the wheels.
