This...

was the song I rocked on summer night drives along Long Island Sound in the ComEd convertible when I needed to remember that Connecticut, too, would pass eventually.
Thanks, Aireeca. Driving to a client meeting in the morning. I've downloaded the album, and will be taking the SE 'vert.

Been listening to this song on repeat for days. So many lovely, intricate layers.

Especially awesome under a set of nice headphones.

The Mercury Program - "Sultans of El Sur"
This.

What type/genre is this kinda music considered?? I've been trying to find more and more of it. But its wicked hard.

Heres my additions

It's indie rock. Sub-genre: post-rock/math rock/with a healthy amount of shoegazer influence.

More in that (extended) family:

Tristeza - "Are We People"

The Appleseed Cast - "Sunset Drama King" (TSL's very own coreyeroc played with them)

[/URL]Sharks Keep Moving - Try To Sleep

The Sea and Cake - "Weekend" (more upbeat, young Saabeh content in the video)

The American Analog Set - "Hard To Find"
