Hey-O
I missed this last year, but a few saablink members were able to make it. I decided I'd head this off an post it up since registration is now open. I plan on being there this year in either the '73 99LE or my Aero.
The show location is pretty nice, located at the historic Grain Belt Brewery in Northeast Minneapolis, right near the Mississippi River. Last year there were over 200 cars covering most of the European brands. There is live DJ music (oontz-oontz!), various contests such as a trike races and the cupcake eating contest last year (see the photo at the bottom of Palmer in an orange shirt stuffing himself with yum),
There are various awards - some of them pretty fun and creative too. The main awards are broken up in categories that allow cars to "compete" in a pretty fair way.
There were definitely some neat cars, some true "show quality" autos, and plenty of regular armature rides and "work in progress cars" like mine. Don't hesitate to enter even if your car is far from perfect, as perfection is certainly not required. Just register, show up in a European car, look at other cars and have fun.
There will be coverage in PVW, eurotuner, PBMW and more
$15 pre-registered
$20 day of show
Free for spectators if you don't want to park with the cool kids
Here are some photos from last year...
The show is held at a historic brewery in Minneapolis. its gorgeous. The lot is all brand new asphalt, and rocks.
