I have'nt seen any Megasquirt on a 9000, I've seen it on other saabs like the c900s. I was thinking of installing it on my N/A 9000 and had a few ??? on the controller. Does it work with the engine management system? Can I raise REV limit throgh the Megasquirt or not? Will it give me a good gain in HP? Is it doable? Has anyone done it with a LH 2.4.2 N/A before?

I haven't done it yet, but I'm planning to on my '92 9000 Turbo this year (er possibly next winter).

Megasquirt is it's own engine management system. It will need to be tuned for your car.

You can raise the rev limit through Megasquirt, however I'm not sure if it's going to help with your application.

I'm not sure about HP gain with a non-modified car, plus every car is different.

It is doable, I mean seriously... Anything is possible.

Here's a thread that goes into detail on installing MS on a LH 2.4 car, if I remember right it dives into installing it on a 900, however the 9000 would be very similar.

It might help with some ETS issues if your car has ETS, however you could always swap off all of the ETS components, and that would be easier and keep your car running well in stock form.

Thats awsome Thats basically what I want to do raise REV limit. I was wondering if it was possible to keep the LH and the MS connected at the same time to work together or is that going to trick the brains into fighting each other? Also I do not have an IAT (EGR) so I I will not know how I wold work with the AMM at all on this project. I am really determined to start this project. Also wold I have to get the stim separate or does it come with the MS kit? I was planning on getting MegaSquirt-I Programmable EFI System PCB2.2 - UnAssembled Kit for my N/A application.

Megasquirt is not something that is practical, anymore. Nira was also another engine management alternative. Recently, T5Suite has put a huge dent in the tuning market due to the fact that it is free. You're much better off using T5Suite than putting a whole different EMS into the car. T5Suite allows you to control the Trionic EMS that is already part of the car. The only reason I can think of putting Megasquirt into your 9k is because you are so familiar with how Megasquirt works.

His car does not plug and play with T5suite or Nira, and converting to T5 will work, but it costs about the same as megasquirt and megasquirt is more user friendly.....
you can avoid swapping out BPCs every month, and use a toyota coil over plug setup... so when your car drops a cyl, you dont have to change out the DI that was 3 fully functional coils, you can just change out the Coil that failed..

personal prefrence fisrt of all second I have a 91 motor from a FPT no one has a 91-92 harness so I might as well have some excitment other than trying this hard to find a harness to drop that motor in I'm tired of waiting and I'm tired of listening to people telling me to not waist my time. Not trying to be a Dbag or anything I still have the goal of getting to 180HP with this N/A motor before I swap in the FPT and I'd rather have some fn with this motor now by doing a few thing than keep seeing if anyone has a harness and getting shot down. So if ya going to give some positive insite on the topic thanks if not than I think its kind of a waist of a post to tell someone do not do it even if ya saying it in a nice way. I've seen too mch of that on forums and it discoraging to even read in my opinion.

Ah, well it's good that you have a goal. I was unaware of what you were intending to do. Nice thing is that you can MS your current motor, tune it and that'll give you an idea how to tune your turbo motor...
