Worth a look.

Maybe they don't know what they have?

Carfax?
Seems like a reputable dealer. Like Palmer said, worth a look.
contemplating seeing what trade numbers would be. these things are a blast. my old man used to have one. he traded it for a z4 which i always thought was a mistake. all they need is a few goodies from flyin miata and they get mean....
I have never seen one for less than $10k. If thats a clean titled car I would be impressed for that price.
Definitely fishy. That's ~ $5000 under retail KBB, $1500 under private party "fair" KBB, and equal to trade-in "fair" KBB.

Also what's with the URL: dealertwit.erfenzhawaiiyi.com ??

Fake, 99.9%.
i found this about an hour after i test drove a BASE '96 with 105 for 4k. seriously, the way these cars hold their value is just silly.

i've gotten so used to jags.....i frown on cars without heated steering wheels, . but i'm driving this car with crank windows, manual locks and mirrors, no cruise.....and absolutly loving it. shit eating grin the whole time. bonkers little cars, these.
^aren't all bmw's? only a serious cockface would ever buy one.*

IDK what's up with the URL. I searched Jerry's Mitsubishi and here it is...

A 2004 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Baltimore MD dealer Jerry's Mitsubishi. Gray MAZDASPEED 2dr Conv MAZDASPEED.

I wouldn't suggest putting an info on the link you posted.

lol.

I spent last summer cleaning my Z-4 owning friends clock in auto-x with my miata. His was a 3.0, and an auto, but still. He finally got me by like .2 the last event of the season.

Oh well.
I'm not in the market for one, but I would still pick that up if I had the cash. If it's local or semi-local to you, what have you got to lose by checking it out? That's an absolute steal for that car (provided it's clean title and no fishy history).
lol.

Z4=FAIL.

Most people with E36/7/8's(M Coupes and Roadsters on the Z3 platform) never move on to the newer Z4 M's. Often a 2001-2002 M Coupe sells for as much as a 2006-2007 Z4 M. There is a reason.

Cleaned my clock eh? I only beat you ONCE by .2 seconds eh? Lets look at a recap of the 3 events we participated in and see if you still remember it the same.

MOWOG 3 Miata with sticky tires and coilover suspension places 111th (89.856) against stock auto BMW Z4 with hard rubber tires places 113th (90.084). Miata wins by .228 seconds (.025%): Final Raw Time Results - MOWOG 3 - Sun 06-13-2010

MOWOG 4 stock BMW Z4 with hard rubber tires places 97th (72.384) against modified Miata with coilover suspension and sticky tires places 99th (72.532) Z4 wins by .148 seconds (.02%): Final Raw Time Results - MOWOG 4 - Sun 07-18-2010

MOWOG 5 stock BMW Z4 with hard rubber tires places 54th (27.527) against modified Miata with coilover suspension and sticky tires places 78th (28.614) Z4 wins by over 1.087 seconds (or 3.8%): Final Raw Time Results - MOWOG 5 - Sun 07-25-2010

Z4 - 2
Miata - 1

Z4 wins and also provided largest ass-whooping gap in RAW time as well as margin for the win, adjust it by PAX and the spread is even greater.

Stock Z4 is superior. Z4 driver is superior.

That's all.

There is a reason.
Because semi trailing arm rear suspension rocks?
yea the z4 did not stick around for too long. i believe that by the time it hit 20k, it had the abs module, fuel pumps, ecm, and engine all replaced under warranty. he decided that it was not a car to own out of warranty.

You are a clever one :p

The rear suspension is a bit antiquated, but it's so much more of a drivers car. The Z4 is definitely more refined though.

Also, it's purely opinion, but looks wise, the '98-02 cars have classic lines and proportions that will age very well. The same may not be true of the '03-09.

I feel that way about most newer Euro products lol. I plan on dumping the CC by 60k. I LOVE the car, but I just know it's going to turn into an electrical nightmare.

My E36, is pretty trust worthy though. Keep on top of the cooling and you are pretty good. I have 70k, and knock on wood nothing has failed(besides the shitty rear subframe that affects many of these cars).

Wow, check out that laundry list of excuses! You should be beating me by more with all your automagic power!

:p

To each his own. I like them both. I got my Z4 because I'm a taller guy and the Z4 cockpit feels roomier, plus I appreciate the smooth lines, and because the wife liked it.

However I wouldn't have turned down a Z3.

Mostly I just wanted to beat Palmer with my wife's car. Maybe next time I'll even wear a skirt! :p
