Got my koni kit delivered today finally:D

Just finished doin the rears which took a bit longer than i thought due to those dam bump stops taking forever to get out but other than that it was fairly easy..

Doesnt look like theres much of a drop(im sure the springs need to settle in), but i still want the rear to be lower.. Id like to get an opinion about possibly removing the bump stops completely? Thats a fairly simple way of getting more of a drop... What exactly is the function of that bump stop? Good idea?Bad idea?

Im running klingons with 225-45s if that makes any diff.. Ill take some pics tomorrow of the gap

Eh, my setup settled a bit since install. I have bilstein HD's and koni springs. the rear has settled down a bit after some driving. Im sure a full tank of gas will slam it down a bit ;)

Other way around, the front will be lower than the rear with vogtland springs. It will probably give the car more of a forward rake with the fronts in making the rear look even higher. But I agree don't trim anything until you finish the job, and drive it around so it has a chance to settle.

Does anyone know off the top of their head where does that white plastic washer go on the front konis? Is it before or after the nut that holds the strut in the housing?

I have seen a few cars with vog springs (koni kit) where the rear springs have sagged like hell, then again I have seen some that have not. But, since some don't know that the koni kit has these aprings, maybe the springs that were installed were something else like B&G? Heck who knows, but if you want to go lower and your roads are ok, then cut away even though it screws with the rate. I love the looks of low cars if its done right, but I'm also not really into form over function as there is no way in hell I could go lower here in chicago (have eibach springs).
Good luck

I'm in Chicago as well and the roads are the main thing keeping that's making me worry about cutting the rears... Ill probably just end up leaving the springs as is and see if they settle down once I do the fronts and after some miles are put on the new setup

So take out the quotation marks and you'll have the vBulletin source code for an embedded image. Substitute in the exact web address of the photo you want to use and then your good.
