I was working under the front end of my 02 linear gone Aero 9-5 wagon tonight and I noticed the boots on the Koni Sports are a bit, um... askew. The car has Koni sports all around on Eibach springs with spacers in the rear. Now I think I remember reading somewhere that some of the Konis do not come with shock boots, is that correct or am I misremembering? I'm not sure what was put on the Koni shocks on my car as they were installed by the PO, but the boots look like they're just sort of dangling from the top strut mount. They appear kind of smushed up and are not attached to the lower part of the strut at all, allowing debris and stuff to get into the piston of the strut. Now I know the strut is sealed internally, but extra dirt and debris and junk getting up there doesn't seem like a good thing.
Of course I can't do anything without removing the strut assembly and replacing the boot, but just looking for some insight here as to what others have done with Koni installs.
