probably not work safe. Who do you feel worse for, that porche or that bird? I would not be able to ever get into that car again if it was mine. I would have it towed to a detailer, cleaned, and sell it right away. :-|

WTF lol. Thats like the deer and the trail blazer we saw here recently. How the hell does a bird not get out of the way lol. Second, think how fast he must have been going to get the bird through the windshield.

I can't wait for the day I have a high speed encounter with an animal like that... it really does not take that much to get something like that through your window! apparently a crash of just 35 MPH is enough to get a baby our of a persons arms, right through the windscreen and down the road about 30 feet. Thus why we have childrens carseats now. I am actually quite amazed that the thing didn't get blasted right out the back window on it's way through the car.

Didn't look to me like there was a piece big enough to maintain the velocity required to pass through the rear window.:lol: Like the bird got juiced and the pulp was just sprayed around inside the car.

When I was younger, I was in a car that hit a canadian goose. It cracked the windsheild, just not like that. We were only going about 45 or so.

I can't imagine what hitting that must have been like.

FYI: 250 km/h = about 150 mph. (60 km / 100 give or take)

Edit: I just did the math, that's about 220 feet per second! If you had that kind of inertia going, 220 ft per second, I'd say it wouldn't be too big of a deal to swallow a bird through thin windshield.

Edit: Here's the math:

250 x .6 (km ---> mi conversion) = 150 mph

150 / 60 = miles per minute = 2.5 miles per minute

2.5 / 60 = miles per second = .041666 (repeating)

.0416666 x 5280 (ft. / mile) = 220 feet per second. That's pretty fucking fast.
