Hi guys, just joined your site. First time Saab owner, always wanted one. Need some help please. When I purchased my 1998 2.3lt non-turbo manual Saab convertable, I couldn't get the ignition key out, it wouldnt "reverse" lock either. Eventually with a lot of fiddling, i got it "reverse" locked and out came the key. Then when I put the key back in, it wouldn't un-lock, stuck in "reverse". After hours of fiddling, i decided to squirt some oil down the ignition barrel, came back half hour later and the key turned like there had been no problem in the first place. That lasted a week, being able to use key as it was meant to be used, now its locked in "reverse" and all the jiggling, fiddling with key hasnt changed anything, but the key will go in and out the ignition ok but just wont turn. Not sure of my next move. Boy is it a job and a half to get ignition out if you go by the manual. Any ideas would greatly appreciated. Cheers, Dave.
