The T5 cams will have ~8.65mm lift, the T7's will be a little less, like 8.35mm.

i may have mixed up my t7 b235e cams with my t5 b204l cams ... they have the same part number engraved on the cam ... wondering if there was a way to identify the differences so i could put my t7 cams in the car

There are two part numbers on the cams. The cast in number on the blank is for the rough core. The stamped in fainter number is the final part number. This is the one you are interested in.
