Spotted... Black Viggen Coupe on Lexington Ave exit ramp in Blaine. This Viggen followed me until such time he turned off of Sunset Avenue in Lino Lakes.

Who are you? Since you live 2 miles from me... I may consider stealing your car while you're sleeping...

I'm the blonde in the light green Saab (that you were admiring) that waved at you at the exit ramp... You laughed just as I took off from the stoplight.

Let's be friends?

Are you AIRBORN? I think he has a black 3 dr Viggen and lives in Minnesota...

It was a younger man (mid-20's), in a black Viggen coupe. He was wearing a baseball cap, white man. I don't know what else.

He turned onto "Palomino Lane" off of Sunset Avenue in Lino Lakes.

That was the last I saw of it. Does AIRBORN live in Lino?

Hmmm... I'm just surprised that "Black Viggen" wasn't part of this forum. He seemed the forum type by the way he was acting towards my car. And actively trying to get behind me on the road -- although I did wink, smile, and wave? Maybe it was all my fault?!

I'll just have to go all psycho and stalk his ass.
Go? Gone. ;)

Think of it this way:

X number of people like Saabs

X minus 33 percent to 66 percent of those people just think a car is a car.

Of that remaining 66 percent to 33 percent, probably only a small fraction like their car enough to go scrounging around on the Internet for more information.

Case in point. Saturday, I meet a woman in a parking lot who has one of the 500 1994 ComEd c900 convertibles. She knew it was a commemorative but had no idea of what things earmarked it as such and didn't know the sequential VIN issue, either. (Her car was #43 for those playing along at home.) I told her about mine, gave her the Web site addy for the ComEd registry and said I hoped she'd check it out. Doubt she will, though. It's just a car to her. A car she likes, but just a car.

Was he cute or something? ;)

Just to put it in perspective, I see a lot of SAABs driven by younger internet-generation people in my area, some of them modified, at least visually or audibly, and have asked if it was someone here before, with no response. Some of them appear to be real enthusiasts, with personalized SAAB-oriented plates, upgraded wheels (read:superaeros on a c900), talked about how they put in an SPG APC, etc. You'd think that they'd be involved in internet discussion at least to some degree, but I've come to the conclusion that the majority of people either just don't want to put the time into forums, read them occasionally but never register, or don't even know they exist.

Sigh. Not drama. Just math. At one point, I think there were Saablink business cards (or something along those lines) that could be left on cars or handed out to direct people to the site. I know there was some talk of bringing them back not too long ago....

Thanks! :) :D

I have already revoked my participation in another thread just today. Some bogus shit about me not liking VW's so people went off on me?

Meh. I'll stay here everyone. I'll stick to just Saab forums for good.

Because... I don't like to be nice to people who drive bad cars. :)

vw's suck until they are tuned.. then they are fast

cool vid
Oh VW's... It's more the aesthetics of the car that makes me nauseous. Also the fact that they are sold for dirt cheap and their parts are an arm and your best buddy's arm too. My family has owned them and my BF works in the auto industry... It's almost sad (but mostly funny) to see the look on the faces of people coming in to get VW parts and shitting their pants when they hear the prices.

I'd rather not get started though. This is a Saab forum nonetheless.
