guys, was trying to pull out headrest out of chair ...no luck...probably lack of brain. spring clip I managed to pull out ... and looks like some kind of internal lock does not allow to pull completely.... any available hints in my case? Thanks. Alex
Underneath the headrest, between the two slides there are two tabs. Squeeze em while pushing the headrest down, then pull out. It took me a couple minutes to figure it out too
Posting on an old thread re my 1998 900s Headrests. I ran into the same issue destroyed the clips in one seat. You need to press the regular release on the left shoulder and use a longer flat screw driver to get to release the right shoulder clip at the same time. Then pull up with third or fourth hand. Once the headrest is off you need to gently press in the plastic release. They will break if you use too much force, just use care, they pull straight up, no screws no bolts…
