Is final drive ratio a concern?

I found the following in my search:

Article : Gearbox
PartNo : 5163894
Usage : 2000-2001, B205E, MARKED: FA 47A06
Supplementary Description : 4-speed
Order Quantity : 1

Article : Gearbox
PartNo : 5161088
Usage : 2000-2001, B235E
Supplementary Description : 4-speed
Order Quantity : 1

PartNo : 4926986
Usage : 2000-2001, B235R, MARKED: FA 47C03
Supplementary Description : 4-speed
Order Quantity : 1

Usage : 2000-2001, B308E
Supplementary Description : 4-speed
Ch. Y3011726--
Order Quantity : 1

So the number is the same for the B235E 2.3LPT engine as well as the B308E 3litre V6

The final drive ratio is dictated by the 4th character of the code i.e. the 7

The 5th character indictaes which engine it was "adapted" for. A= the LPTs and 3.0 petrol, C=Aero. AFAIK the Aero boxes had a beefier torque converter.

Tranny in sedan data: Prospective used trans
50-42LE
FA47a0 FA47A01
4578563A 4578563B
Serial 97mw509425 99cw501304

Can anyone look this part numbers up and let me know if I can use this trans?
Solution!

So since both trans have a 7 - they should have same final drive ratio right?

Bang 1 in there and go dude, you're thinking too much. If it's a 4spd from a 9-5, v6 or 4cyl, it'll get you down the road.
