i am wondering, for example, how much my SPG used to cost (MSRP) when it was purchased brand new (1987 model year, sunroof, leather, CD, etc). Anyone know where I can find that info? I am just curious.

Here's MSRP for model year 1990 in the US market.

900:

900i 3dr - $16 995
900i 4dr - $17 515
900S 3dr - $20 995
900S 4dr - $21 545
900t 3dr - $25 495
900t 4dr - $26 045
900t conv't - $32 995
900 SPG - $28 995

9000:

9000S 5dr - $25 495
9000S 4dr - $25 995
9000 t 5dr - $32 495
9000 CD - $32 995

Notice the 900 Convertible costs as much as a 9000 CD and twice as much as a 900i 3dr - I wonder about the 900c...

why would a CD cost more then a 5 door?! The CD's were uglier and smaller... IMHO  I knew the 9000's were over $28,000 but wasn't officially sure where about they retailed.
CD is a much larger car - ever see how looong that trunk is?

Anyway, the CD's were way loaded. This was Saab's attempt at a 750iL...
more like an attempt at keeping with a 735... a 750il would outrun a 9000CD in every way, right up to 160 MPH while the 9000 was still teedering along at 135
