I like how they designed the steel wheels like that, i always get a laugh when i see someone rockin hubcaps and see their rusted steelies underneath.

would make a nice setup for the winter.

$160 for a 5 spoke 16" steel wheel. Holy jebus.

They are kinda neat looking in their own right.

 

yeah, definitely expensive thats for sure, at that price point it makes more sense to buy aftermarket aluminum wheels.

 

Might be worth a shot of you can find a cheap used set. That CL add is expired. How much were they going for?

 

Yeah I noticed that when i just checked it. Its been a couple weeks since I originally posted this thread, but they were going for 425 with tires, which, for used of both, is still pretty pricy.

 

In Europe these kind of wheels are used in Opel Astra's, I know one ng900 with these and it looks mean. Same kind of wheels are also used at least in new Ford Focuses.

An old nieghbor had those under the hub caps on his saturn. Yep nice looking wheel and 17" to boot.

Maybe Saturn has them cheaper.

 

They look a lot like the black steel wheels that are on the new Dodge Charger cop cars in Seattle. Definitely mean looking! Too bad the bolt pattern is almost certainly different.

 

They are not just on the cop cars... just the others have the hubcap on top

 

nope, its actually 5x110, the HHR and Saturn Aura/Chevy Malibu/Pontiac G6 all use 5x110

I've been looking locally for these on CL. No luck yet. *Fingers crossed*

 

Ive only seen them twice on CL, but the asking price was too much. If I see some lower ill probably pick them up. Im beginning to love the idea of them being low maintenance (winter? salt? psh, ive got steelies!) and easy to paint.
