It used to hesitate and throw the odd 'fit' whilst accelerating, particularly around the 2000RPM as I went through the gears. Its kind of like turning the ignition on and off whilst driving, the effect is how I would describe hesitation and fitting, like a violent cough. Sat in the seat driving - you can pretty well feel the engine block "coughing".
Its getting worse. Now it does it when I'm cruising in 4th and a little in 5th.
I'm no mechanic but searching google I managed to remove and clean the EGR. No effect. It wasnt that bad anyway.
Any ideas where I can start working this problem out to a resolution. Please bear in mind I'm no mechanic so looking ideally for guidance and support rather than "its the injector" or something like that - which wouldnt really be a great deal of help to me I'm afraid.
Thanks?

Did you figure it out? start with new spark plugs and then have your ignition coils tested. probably a bad coil as they are individually positioned above each spark plug.
