Hey OP can you tell me what the interior trim code is on this car? I'm trying to figure out how to decipher the SAAB trim codes and that would help me out.

it's got vents in the doors and under the seats for the passengers in the back but the controls are on the dash. I'll take more pictures soon when i get time. this thing even has factory locking lug nuts!! I love this color!! and I'll get a picture of the "car phone holder" the phone is m.i.a. :( any other requests?

That one does have 10,000 miles more then "#189" showed... but it could have been driven a lot too since....

Guess we'll see if he responds to my PM.....

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure if I want to perform 2 5 speed swaps - but I do have 2 5 speeds sitting....

calm down child, i had merely made an observation. i was not talking shit. the first ad that had been posted had the same pictures you posted here, same #189 and so forth. then it was deleted and now its revised (you saw the revised version). if you look at my post you will see the words "looks like". looks like does not mean "yes its the same car 100%". its means simply that it seems that it is the same car. if you had seen the person's original ad before it was revised and then you decided to go viggenluca on me, then you would have thought the same thing.

I always like the Griffens. I had a "nearly Griffen" 9000 CD Turbo for a few months...did nothing with it, traded around between a few Saab folks then ended up getting scrapped out. It was an odd car, it was black with the light tan interiors, had most of the odd Griffen options like the self adjusting rear shocks, rear A/C, car phone, except the Eucalyptus Green paint and the cross-spoke wheels and the suede inserts on the seats.

It was the only 9k I've ever seen apart from the Griffens that had the rear A/C, car phone, and funky rear shocks...

I'm going to be like ViggenKid and get on your case and anyone else who spells GRIFFIN wrong like he had about the Sonett

I really don't think he was attacking anyone, just pointing out that there was a Griffin for sale on CL in MN that used the same photos you are posting...and said it was #189. Then you got VERY defensive

You claimed Kalbers had no idea what he was talking about (he did, I saw the ad too), and then you started in with the name calling.

Getting overly defensive is not usually a good sign, that combined with the the listing in question saying it was car #189, and the fact that there are not many Griffins in MN to begin with would lead most people to think it was one in the same car. Not an unreasonable conclusion to come to.

I know if someone found a CL ad for a car like mine, with photos of my car and was claiming things about it that were not true, or was trying to flip it or something and it was not in fact my car...a simple, "Nope, not my car." would probably suffice. Not an over defensive name calling session.

Now, can we all just grow up and stop being butt-hurt over all of this? Kalbers didn't come to some unreasonable assumption, but if he was wrong about that being your car, then he was wrong. Simple as that, and end of story.
