Ok...soo my 88 900T had a alot of oil in the intake manifold...and was smoking when I boosted hard...Soo I was thinking its the seals...but Im not soo sure now...I took the tube that goes from the air cleaner to the turbo compressor intake...and look at it...Oil was everywhere...in the turbo in all tubes in the mini intercooler...EVERYwhere...so I was think how...if the turbo seals were bad it should be in after the turbo...not before where the compressor is sucking... I found that this little valve that goes on the side of the intake tube...was full of oil...What is it? why is it full? Whats going on...Please help guys...I wanna know whats going on...I added a pic...I hope it helps.

The only issues that I could forsee causing the problem you've detailed are:

1. Bad turbo
2. Engine massively overfilled with oil

I'd be willing to bet the turbo is the issue. When they go bad, it's not uncommon to find pools of oil in a throttlebody, intercooler, etc....it all depends on what turbo seals go bad. You can probably find a replacement turbo on here or eBay for $150 or less. GL

That tube is part of the PCV system. It will always have a little oil in it from oil-ladened vapors condensing. If there is a lot of oil, then your PCV system is not working properly. If the little check valve in the vac line from the intake manifold to the PCV nipple on the valve cover is not working then your turbo could be over-pressurizing your valve cover and blowing oil through the only place it can go--through the tube you have pictured (or through valve seals if they are bad). The check valve is a one-way valve. If you pull the hose off the intake manifold barb and try to blow through it, you should not be able to if the valve is functioning properly.

Usually the seal that fails on the turbo is on the exhaust side and will cause blue smoke to come out the tailpipe as it's burned off.

If you have excessive crankcase pressure, that could be a sign of bad rings. Excess oil pressure will blow oil all over the place as well, and could end up in the intake. I have that problem on one of my own cars. Do a compression check to rule that out.

ok well how should i go about this...? just get a new turbo...why would that valve have oil in it...if the seals were...bad ?

reach in the intake side of the turbo and see if the shaft has play in it. If not, take turbocon's advice and move on to a compression test. I'm on my 3rd back to back turbo replacement today, and when they go bad you will have oil everywhere in the engine/intake/exhaust. I've got a couple used turbos for 900s on the shelf if you need 1.

Well I checked the shaft play (first thing) and there is plenty...no in and out just up and down...but I think that seals are trash there is oil coming outa everywhere....turbo vacuum hoses...The whole engine bay is filled with oil...There is no oil leak...just the fact that I changed the valve cover gasket..and the pan is fine...So it all must be the turbo...But hey seriks if you have a turbo with good seals....and not much shaft play...ill buy it from you
