OK will mark the parts up roughly 40% so we can discount 15 and you guys get a deal..
Or just keep the low prices as they are. Hell if we clear 15% its been a good month. Or I could fire my skilled craftsmen, they can live off your tax money and get the parts made in China.

Agree that most retailers inflate prices or "was" pricing to reflect huge 50% savings. When your in that industry you have to fight the same game to compete. When your already the industry low cost provider (ie Nick) there is not much margin to work with.
Few understand the actual fixed and variable costs to produce custom parts much less the overhead capital that is needed to run a successful company. (building costs/rent, liability insurance, employees, payroll taxes, inventory costs, machines and upkeep costs). Plus have enough left over to make a profit for the company owner to live from and invest back into the company to purchase other equipment. If the raw parts cost $20, chances are with a custom machined piece your actual costs are 2-3 times that. Add 10-15% for profit you end up with $100. End of the day, your not taking home $80.
I always laugh when leaving a supermarket and the cashier declares "you saved $8.90 today shopping with us". I usually reply with I would have saved $50 by not coming at all.

Nick, I think people were just wishing for a crazy sale so they could slap on a bunch of GS parts, not necessarily complaining about prices. You're one of the few shows in town and most of your stuff is in-house and hand made, so I don't think anyone begrudges that.
