Hey,

Does anyone know where I can get some of the hard green brake lines?

I cut one of mine and I need a replacement one ASAP. Im afraid to fabricate on my self.

Thanks!

They don't have to be green. Just go to your local auto parts store. They should have what you need.

I tried and they dont.

Most of their equiptment is made to bend and flare copper and alluminum, not the thicker steel lines.

Lowes? Im kinda lost and I need to fab a line ASAP. Like before Saturday. I cut it off about 6 inches from where it connects to the flexible lower brake line.

Wow what brand auto stores are those? My local Napa sells steel brake lines in multiple diameters and lengths along with all the fittings I could ever want.

Have a junk yard nearby? Find a Saab and cutoff some brake lines.

I can look at Napa tomorrow. The ones at Advance sucked. Plus their tools can not cut or flare stainless steel.

i work at one of the parts stores mentioned here... we have pre nutted and flared coated steel brake line in lots of sizes and lengths... and the it's not coated green but it's the right stuff. you just need to bend it. you may need to use some unions to get to the lengths you need but it's not hard at all and you don't need o flare them... we also have a loaner brake line kit that i know will flare the steel lines if you wanted to buy unflared coils of line and tube nuts. none of the brake line we sell is copper. we do also have the unflared nickle zinc ez bend line that people love but it's expensive

The dealers sell them. What one do you need exactly, I can see if I haven't cut mine all yet.

You could always have GenuineSaab.com overnight the one you need too.

Its the right front one from the ABS to the braided line that connects to the hub. On the ABS unit it says like VL beside the one I need.

When I went to Advance Auto a couple weeks ago they didn't have metric. I had to go to a foreign parts specialist. It was pretty cheap actually, I was surprised.

Also, when I had a shop replace one a couple years back they had a hard time because it was metric too. Had I known then, I'd have done it myself. They charged an arm and a leg to have it for a week to track one down.
