This is a great deal for a NOS part! It's hard to find a USED, rust-free hood for $250 or less, so this is an incredible offering. This should go to a saab freak that will pack it away in his attic/garage for a long long time!

Price changed after the hood was paid for.

Folks you should know that I purchased this hood for the listed price of $300 today. Paypal'ed the funds. Received a note late today that the price that it was listed and sold to me for was wrong. Glad I wasn't on my way to pick it up. Bottom line as you can see is the price is now double and marked SOLD. Was offered the opportunity to re-buy hood with split the difference of what I bought it for in the morning and what the dealers 'cost' was. Probably still a good price. So I requested and received my funds back which I should be very happy about. Wanted to share my experience with you all. Dealings shouldn't always be based just upon final price. For that we can shop at Wally World. They honor prices.

I'm truly sorry Dennis. I was told by parts manager a price yesterday then when I went to pay for part manager told me he couldn't sell it because it was still in dealer parts inventory. I was going to pay money out of my own pocket to make you happy. I feel it was a good deed on my part being honest. Did you want me to pay the extra 300 for you so you would be happy. I sure was thinking about it. Once again I am sorry. I am the middle man trying to get these nos parts to members like us.

Scott,
I believe you to be honorable through our brief dealings and did not imply I wanted you to pay the $300 you raised the price by after I purchased it. If your dealership quoted you the price which you listed and I paid then I guess I have this old fashion business ethic in me that dictates honoring an agreed to purchase especially after funds have been accepted. Let's agree that you can respond one more time if you need to. I won't be responding further.

If you or your friend still want it I am willing to pay half for my mistake. I can't yell at my manager about him telling me one price but finding out its actually in dealers inventory. Unfortunately it would be bad for my manager and I to sell it below cost behind owners back. My deepest apologies.

Even at $600 this is a good deal in my book. That original price seemed too good to be true. Shit, people pay more than that for a beat up old whaletail. I've paid $300 for a used hood and drove all the way yo PA to get it which cost me another $150. And it certainly wasn't new-in-the-box perfect.

I can understand being upset about losing out on a sweetheart deal though.

I wish hood wasn't in that box! That's what had the part number on it when manager checked in computer. This sucks for original purchaser but for me as well. Guys, I'm like the middle man trying to get these parts homes. Be gentle on me. I am trying to help out.
