This weekend I got to take out my next door neighbor's brand new Ferrari F430.

By far, the coolest thing I've ever done. Period. It was still in the break-in period, so I had to take it easy on the car i.e. shift at 6,000 RPMs, but holy shit, this thing could out accelerate nearly anyhting even shifting at 6,000. It makes most of its power between 5-000 and 8,000, and I'd be afraid to how fast it could be after the break-in period.

Neighbor is really cool. He races a Porsche GT2 and his wife races a Porsche twin turbo AWD.

Good weekend. lol

Haha yea...Milla does a lot of M3s...they host meets every Friday night at the KOP mall.

They do all of their racing with Dougherty's Racing. It's a performance porsche shop that basically hooks up Carrera GTs and stuff...its really cool to talk to them about it.

coolest thing about my neighbor....we're driving along with him in the passenger's seat. I'm dirving pretty conservatively due to the fact that I'm driving 200 grand. The first thing he says to me when we get on the road,

"Chris, stop driving like a pussy. If I were your age and could get my hands on this car I would be tearing into it. Nail it."

lol

I've wanted a Ferrari SOO BAD forever. Not to downplay it AT ALL, but just by driving it once for 15 minutes or so, I think I've gotten the need out of my system. It's an AWESOME feeling, but I don't know if I'd drop 200k on it. I'd rather get a nice M3 or something (nothing against SAAB).

I think I needed to feel what it was like to have 500 hp at your right foot.

Ferrari's are ridiculously fun to drive....I've only driven 2 testarossas, which are "old" compared to the F430 but still amazingly fun. That must have been the experinece of a life time. Cool neighbors FTW!

I actually got to see a Smart car about three years ago. My friend's son was a car salesman at the largest Benz dealership Montreal so he got to bring home all the nifty toys for the weekend. His two sons loved riding around in that car.
