For Sale - 1997 900SE $3000

For sale is my brothers 1997 Saab 900SE 5dr. It is Scarab Green with Tan leather interior, and has 158,184 miles on it.

The car has had a whole bunch of recent work done it do, and over all its in great shape. He is the 3rd owner, with Ken Avery being the last owner. (So you know the car has been very well taken care of) The oil has always been changed religiously at 3000 miles, and out of the 158K miles on the car, they have been mostly highway miles between Boston and Amherst, MA. Of course we have all the service records from our Saab Specialist mechanic who has done most of the work on the car.

Among the many parts that have been replaced, they include:
Radiator Fan and Resistor
Clutch and Clutch Cable
Center Flex Pipe
Ignition Switch
Middle Muffler
Passenger side inner CV repacked
Hatch Struts
Front Brakes/Rotors
Tires have alot of life left on them

There are a bunch of goodies on the car as it is. Heres what we've done to it.
Removed headlight wipers
Viggen style antenna
Cleared corner lights, as well as smoked side makers
MP Steering Rack Brace
Genuine Saab Rear Sway Bar.
DIY iPod/Aux in with separate button for activation hidden as seat heater switch
DIY 3in Airbox Inlet Pipe Modification
and most importantly a TD04-15T turbo swap.
AutoMeter A/F ratio (narrow band)
AutoMeter Boost Gauge
Dual A Pillar Pod

The few not so good things:
The car was in one minor accident, a fender bender, low speed. The only thing that happened was the bumper became dislodged, and one headlight lens broke. The bumper was re-fitted, as well as a new headlight lens lens. There was Zero body or sub-frame damage, and you can not tell from looking at the car that it was in any kind of accident. The A/C currently does not blow all that cold. We know it needs the two lower A/C pipes from the compressor to the evaporator, and from the compressor to the condenser.( Either it will get fixed before the sale, or at least the lines will be included.) The last thing is that it the barb end of the radiator drain plug as been sheared off, it doesn't leak or anything. A replacement is included in the sale.

More info:
Since the car has a TD04 swap on it, it also has a Stage 1 T5 Suite B204R file on it. We can retune the car back to stock if you'd like, or go up another stage. But if anything happens to the engine or the car after that we are not responsible for it.
The entire car is rust free for one nickel sized area of rust in front of the rear wheel well.
Other then that, the engine is very strong, and the car is a joy to drive.
As most of you know, we take care of our Saabs, and again, being that Ken Avery was the PO, you should also know it was taken care of well before we had it.

Any questions feel free to PM me
Price: $3,000

Bump for my wife's first saab...

We used to call her "Essie" (for the SE model).

Good luck with the sale.

PS- When I had the car, it was maintained by Eurasian in Topsfield, MA. They would likely say good things about it.

Yeah, we were hoping not to do that. I mean the price is certain flexible, but still, not even a nibble on this.

Bump.

PLEASE! My cripple:joke:(had surgery on his right shoulder, its hard for him to drive stick) of a brother needs money......

#17 ·
Some one just please entertain me with the idea of buying the car.

This is all very sad.

#19 ·
Not really. Word on the street is that decent 2001 9-3 with no history of being in the rust zone can be had for about the same price down here in the South.

It's a bad market for cars.

Also. The damaged brother? Is this the same one who just picked up the Viggen?

#20 ·
Yes. Same brother, needs money.

This car literally has no rust.

$3K for a stage 1(easily 2, if not 3) TD04'ed NG is crazy cheap. With all the mods we've done to it and all the work that's been put into it, no one really can understand what this car is really worth. I realize its not easy selling heavily modded cars, but really.....

In the end the car will probably end up going to some fool, for some stupid price who will have Zero respect for the car, or the time effort/money that was put into it.

Sad, Just sad.

Quick, buy it before July 31st so you dont have to pay 6.25% sales tax!!

#24 ·
Please people.

My father sold his Viggen in less then a day on Craigslist....even with 186K miles on it for a handsome price.

I guess Viggens are really worth the $2,000 premium.

Sorry.

Some how I cant justify having 7 Saab in our driveway with only 4 drivers.
