I thought this would be a fun thread today as I was thinking about Carlisle and its "car you would like to drive home award". So what car would you take if you could have anyone's car from TSL? I guess you can either split it up into different models or just overall favorite. I, like many I'm sure, would take Nick T's Viggen just because this is pretty much where its at:

or Luke Sorensen's 99:

So what would you pick?

*whines* noone is going to pick my car, so i am not going to participate.

i would take my car, loaded up with everyone else's c900 transmission (except Delorean's, of course, he can break that one himself).

ok, ok, i will participate.

i would drive Daveship's 9-5 home.

I very much agree with you mcrowley. I sold him (Jon1) the airflow front and back bumbers @ Carlisle in 2005. Every time I see him I say "bumpers make that car", and we laugh.

too hard of a choice... but that red notchback I recently got has potential, but it's not there. my other 3 saabs are all fairly common models.

Saabfarms car is nice, I like xassh's car, don't like it's track record  Jon has some nice ones, Paul H's 99 is nice (but needs work), Palmers car (not the cavalier)... I'm sure there are more, just thinking out loud.

hahaha!

mine just needs paint... and an engine that i dont blow up... and a transmission that will hold together (anyone remember me saying that one of the downpipe bracket bolts was tapped all the way into the casing? i just found out that half those threads are gone and the hole wasnt tapped into the casing - the casing is cracked from a bolt that was too long being overtorqued against metal that was too thin.)

Well, truth be told, I kind of like my car, even though it needs some paint, and it's not fast (well the engine isn't powerful, but it does go fast pretty frequently :D)

But, to play fair, I'd take the rally modified 99 with stig paint

I think for me it would be anyone of Jim Miller's collection (particularly the Comm Ed 900 SPG!)... but all his cars are immaculate! Jon Williams' cars are all awesome too... and also IronJoes convertible sled gives me the utter horn too! Too hard to choose.. can I just keep my two sleds? :)

am i allowed being selfish and voting for my own? i admit to having a problem and cant help myself but from looking back at the car as i walk away after parking it. :D.

--- but from just thinking back from memory of others on the site, daveships engine bay is awesome. ironjoes c900 vert is awesome.

i am right there with you, primer 'racing' squares on the hood, quarter panel and hatch or not.

nick t's viggen because it's my car's big brother on 'roids. lots of 'roids.

or Talladega900's comm ed. or x2 mcrowley's engine bay. or anyone with a red SPG.

Awe, shucks...

Thanks jk!

I'd have to go with my old Talladega Edition (miss that car)
Yankton's Talladega/Viggen conversion
900S's sleeper of an old school hot-rodded NA NG900 (275 hp with no turbo? Awesome!)
Jon1's black 'vert for sure
John Sizemore's LB Viggen (freakin' gorgeous!)

edit: Oh, yeah. I kinda like our Commem and SE 'vert, too.

I can only comment on cars I've seen. Pics don't do some of these beautiful machines justice.

Nick T's Viggen. I wanted a red one, but when I bought mine, it was blue only. That car will put a bunch of others in the rear view mirror real quick.
Abdukted's "old" ride. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Jak's nitrous munching dyno monster. If that doesn't give you chills when it's on the dyno, you're dead.

I can't pick just one.

so no one likes any edwardian gray 9000s?

Such a hard choice, though Blix's 9-5 really made me think different about what an auto trans and LPT can do ;)
I like Pauls 99, actually I was considering that car when it was for sale before he picked it up.
I'm also a fan of Nicks 9-5 in that Cayenne red, never gave me a bad photo opportunity
so many awesome cars on the 'ink, even if theyre not a Saab (ahem, Renault GTA, Beretta, BMW 320, Aero moped)
Or how about Bill Merchants Prius? Thats always a crowd pleaser

Eeew Yankton's old 900's hood is painted now. Who owns that anyways?!

It looks terrible painted.

My choice would be too hard, so I would have to bring it to these:

Daveship's 9-5 Aero
Nick T's Viggen
Mike Crowley's 9k Aero
Jeff Proposki's SPG
Gary Moore's SPG
Palmer's c900
Jon Williams' 900T Airflow Vert (ever seen the paint on that thing?!)
Yankton's old NG900
Kaylan's 9k Aero
Luke Sorenson's 99 Rally Car
73Sonett's Sonett
Marc Fails' 93 :)
