Well, i sent euro tuner an email like 4 or 5 months ago asking how i can be in the mag. Having like a page coverage or something.
I sent them my mod list and a couple pictures.

They told me they have put many swedish cars in the mag. and that they are gonna put my car in the readers rides. :x

After the long wait, it is final, i am in the readers rides section in the May issue. I have a list of mods that i didn't have back then, that i wanted to put in but they said no :x

Well anyways check it out :)

Ahh I signed up for my free issue a month to early!!!

We should have a contest to see who makes it on the cover first.

LOL., yea we'll see

Well, i look at the eurotuner mag. all the time and i never see a saab in there.
So i thought I would just give them a car thats different.

I don't get these cars they put in there sometimes.
Some of the cars in the magazine have like rims, lowering springs, and like an ecu and they have like a 4 page coverage on there car :?:
I don't get it.

Give the sweed a shot :D

I know what you're saying trex. Its like they can't find enough cars or something? I know they have to cater to the audience as the magazine is a buisiness, but come on!!!!!

well if they actually put saabs in the mag we would have at least 500 car pics to send. Not to mention about 500 cars worth doing a 4 page cover on.

I saw that -I subscribe to eurotuner.Good job man.I think your car was one of the only ones with actual performance mods, most of the vws ans audis have like wheels and carbon fiber hoods. They had a c900 is from MA a while back also.I would like to get mine in thwere eventually also.Good job.

Just picked up the magazine. The Reader’s Rides section is 3 pages long with 9 cars to a page. So it is just a small picture with a list of mods. But this is a good opportunity for us to write in and ask for more Saabs to be featured. Don’t complain about their lack of Saabs. Just write an email telling them that you have a modified Saab and that you are excited to see one in the magazine and look forward to seeing more.

There aren’t more Saabs in Euro Tuner because not enough people are asking for it. But if the editors see a constant demand for more Saabs they will put more in.

The key here is not to send them an email asking for your Saab to be shown, but to ask them to find more performance Saabs to help you modify yours. If we can convince Euro Tuner that there is a Saab performance market, and that they will sell more copies if they feature Saabs, then we’ll start seeing more of them in the magazine.

I hear what you are saying.
My first email to them was what you just said, about how i would like to see more in there and stuff like that, then i sent them my info and pics and they put it in the readers rides.

Im not mad, its a start to something.

So, for the inside scoop, Euro Tuner is the same publishing company as European Car. For those that subscribe, you might have notice that the mag seems to be geting thinner and you are not far from the truth. They are trying to get this mag, Euro Tuner, into the sort Euro Sport Compact market. The problem is that either one is not doing well now. European Car has contacted me about a full shoot on my car so maybe them first, then Euro Tuner. Its like start at the top and go down from there.

On a seperate note, I was bummed that the MotorMadness show in State College is the exact same weekend as Carlisle. Maybe I should pull my car from Carlisle and go up to State College for the bikini contest.

Nooooo!
I hope you're still going to Carlisle. That's the #1 reason i'm going is to see that monster you've built.I know bikinis are hard to turn down but please don't bail! :)

I think that European Car may be a better chace for a feature. A while back they had a Viggen blue c900 in there with the airflow kit and all. It had like a three page feature. They haven't been doing reader's rides lately, but in the back they have been doing a two pager called "obsession." Basically this is to feature private owners who take great lengths to tune their cars. Last month it was a turbo mk III golf. They're usually just unique cars that aren't sponsored or anything. I'd say a saab would look great on those pages.

I saw your car in the mag. Good going! I have thought about submitting pics and info on my car as well, but haven't got around to it yet. If more of us show them that we are here, maybe they'll take more notice and get Saab a bit of coverage.

Yeah I picked up the rag too. I had a real hard time just locating it. None of the bookstores had it, but Hannaford did, who knows.

Too bad you are on the very last page, oh well. Its still pretty cool.

By the way, you know how people are always blurring out their license plate numbers? Yours are clearly showing. I've always wondered why people do this, and I never do when I post pics, so what is the deal? Anybody know?
